Thread: Suggest a new name for our new canine club (of Australia)

Perhaps it might be worth contacting MDBA to see if they are interested in helping us.

I would simply stay away from the word united as in the USA there is the UKC so affiliation may be assumed. They do have the right idea on a couple of things though.

I think draft a letter and email it to as many breeders as possible. If we can start our own fully FCI registered club I'm happy to help out in any way I can.

Julie - Im on an ozshow mailing list, its very big and obviously about showing. Ill be more then happy to post something there but perhaps Im a bit disapinted that after I had posted about the removal on titles there was not ONE comment there about it. yet the list has been talking about putting gazebos up at the Durak showgrounds for about a week now lol

Surely that's defeating the object somewhat, isn't the whole reason this forum is thinking of forming an alternative "organisation" is because the influence of the "show" crowd and others has brought about this situation? If you're going to give them a "heads up", you can be sure they'll do their best to smother the idea before it gets off the ground.

time for some facebook and google time Why dont we start a facebook page that tends to spread like wildfire, and write up an email template that people can copy and pass along to other working trainers. I'm happy to start one tomorrow when I get home from Uni if people want to email me their ideas and I can collate it, inline_k9@yahoo.com

John - weather folk here like it or not shows are part of the FCI regulations and without them the proposed organisation will not get accepted.
