I feel sorry for the poor old dear too however it was more sensationalistic beat up.No picture of the dog so dont know what it was and was originally stated as a pitbull cross.I saw the interview on tv and the old dear had a small bandage around her wrist. The 2 little cross breeds she had would have been all of 2kg,one of them had to go to the vet so it was still alive. Now if a dog intent on causing harm came upon them it would have inhaled both of those dogs in the first mouthful and old dear would have been in hospital. At least the shire president said the matter would be investigated to see what happened before deciding on what to do with the dog.
I dont want to sound like I am always jumping to the defence of pitbulls becuase they do bite people on occasion just like any other dog does but I get sick of hearing what if it was a child when it was a dog on dog attack. The majority of people end up getting bitten breaking dogs up becuase they stick their hands near those sharp pointy things dog have.Traumatic for the poor woman no doubt and shouldnt have happened but hardly newsworthy unless you stick the word pitbull in there.
Owner should get an ass kicking and no doubt he will dogs have no place in the street uncontrolled.
Yeah, everything that bites these days is a pitbull cross...
