Very dissapointing Jeff. Yup I agree all talk and no substance

A valid point has been raised about protection dogs not working if the owner is not around. I know mine will, tested and proved so I know my back door is OK unlocked if I pop down to the shop LOL the canine tag team will take care of anyone thinking about it.

I'll beat the drum again .. unless the dog is trained, tested and proven you cannot rely on it! Common sense really!

Agree, unless the dogs are trained and tested, it's all guessing and nothing else. Though some people will argue to death, "if they love you and are loved" they will protect you! No training at all.

    lol

No Amy , you have taken my words out of context , but if you would like to test my dogs you are welcome , but then can i test yours.
That was not very nice .
This is what happens when people do not have a clue.
Sorry everyone , but I do believe Amy is referring to a discussion I was having with Nath in the chat room , She left out genetics, environment and mental development along with many other things .
Very quick to have a dig .

You should perhaps ask your breeder , who she says is the best puppy raiser to adult hood with rotties for working dogs.
This is why we needed a security forum separate to dog sport forum .
We do not have to teach our dogs from the word go .
    They can be puppies .

Actually, nothing is taken out of any context.

The amount of people who believe no training is necessary is very high on many dog forums and in real life.
It is premature of you Rob to think I was only discussing that, because you believe in love, genetics etc

I fail to see why you presumed i had you in mind for my last post considering it is such a popular misconception on the average dog owner to have a dog without formal training which will protect.

"Quick to have a dig"? It appears to me that's you with this comment you wrote:
"This is what happens when people do not have a clue".

Yes that is what happens indeed.

    Cheers

How on earth is this relevant to anything?

Rob I do not think Amy's comments were directed at you, there/this is a lengthy and reoccurring subject on another forum that a few of us visit.
