We sometimes forget that it is not what we as humans perceive but what the dog perceives that really matters and IMO this is particularly the case with emotive subjects or tools such as the ecollar.

You or Tony or anyone else that disagrees with me are not missing anything, we simply have a different understanding on how to use them and I'm not saying my understanding is right and yours is wrong it is just different.
For me it basically comes down to how we teach the association of what the static pulse means, remembering it is the puppies perception that matters.

Contrary to some earlier posts that inferred that I think that I Know more than anyone else, I have never professed to be an expert in any form of dog training but only that I have a very solid understanding of an ecollar method that gets amazing results for pet owners, dog lovers and trainers throughout the world. I choose to use this method as part of my tool kit.

Everyday we are giving people the tools to have a wonderful relationship with there dogs and we are giving dogs a much higher quality of life because of the skills that we teach there owners. If dog owners want to set a good solid foundation for off leash control at an early stage of there puppies development than I will definitely put my hand up to help them out.

Vendo, you are quite welcome to come down to our classes anytime if you want to see puppies and there owners thriving on our system using ecollars because as you say talk is cheap!

Cheers

Interesting post Chris. The association of the static pulse and what the percieved outcome is from the pup perspective. That is where it starts and ends really quite simple....
