Thread: cooling vests for k9s

Hi Nathan

I was thinking of getting the same thing for my Mal. It takes a lot out of them tracking, especially if it starts to warm up (weather) during the track.

This is a place I was looking at, but I'm not sure if they are as good as the Ray Allen ones.

They sound good, if you find another source or end up getting one, let me know as after loosing a dog in the hot weather I think it would be a good investment

We have been using these with our Detection Dogs up here in Brisbane for the last 2 years.

They are a little bulky but I think the benefits out weigh the negatives.

Another product we are trialing at the moment is the swamp cooler. A bit more like what Peter was looking at. We have found that our Black Lab is benefitting from this product because it helps reflect the heat off his body. It is also much cheaper than the Chillydog.
