    Training equipment

Has anybody bought anything from http://www.prok9supplies.com/ before?
I see they are now the agents for Gappay Australia.I also notice since they took it over from Schutzshep that the prices have gone up quite signicantly.
Far be it from me to quibble over prices but Quite frnakly I can buy just as good and import it from the states cheaper. What does everyone else think and where do you buy your gear from?
All I want at the moment is some puppy tugs as I have some other gear for older dogs and there prices arent that bad for the tugs but were much cheaper from the previous owner.

    Re: Training equipment

i use dog quip and eurojoe
    i like using both

euro joe has more to offer
but dog quip has better padding on there suits and you can talk to kurt and get advise on the right gear and if he doesnt have it he will send you to some one that does
were as euro joe you can send an email to them direct or go to the aust suppler who is danny from k9 enterprise aust

i couldnt compair their guanlets because i havnt use eather of then because of using the ring sport arms

but with there ring sport arms from euro joe they dont offer much protection on the hardest arm for a hard biting dog like my rottie you need under raps as well as getting stuck on his teeth on an "out" but they are great with the 2 mels i work with (they come ranged 1-5 level arms) green dogs up to muture dog
they are easy to use because of there flexibilty

Yes I agree.. I went and had a look at their site... I think a little expensive.

DOGQUIP in Adelaide are far better priced, and VERY good quality.

Also I order some of my gear from http://www.fordogtrainers.com . Their prices are reasonable, and good quality. Usually orders get to you within 2 weeks.

Is Pro K9 Supplies an American based company/business? Or are they a new-born Australian company/business? Does anyone know? Just curious.

    Hi Judi

I thought you opened a new business

    Just kidding

I did a business name search - They have 'Pro-K9 Supplies' registered in NSW

That's ok ..... when I first saw the name, for a moment I thought I'd expanded my business!!! Thanks for the info Mark. Didn't expect you to run a business name search though, just for the satisfaction of my own curiousity ...... but thank you.

Thanks for the response and links.Eurojoe looks ok might give them a try.

Mark I have used fordogtrainers before and there gear is ok but some of it isnt as good a quality as elsewhere but for the price it is good and the service is good.In saying that I have some muzzles from them that are good and priced very reasonable. To buy better you would be paying 2 or 3 times the price.

    Re: Training equipment

I deal with both dogquip and pro k9 supplies. Kurt from dog quip makes some great soft tugs for young dogs and pro k9 simply has more variety in stock and it is quality gear. For dog trainers have some equipment I have seen fall apart quite quickly and I have seen a dog bite straight through their very thin scratch pants. I will support Australian business, to make it happen here.

I think they are both the same outfit, but after ordering a very small item nearly three weeks ago now, I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. Their excuse is that they have been snowed under! I also notice that the postage and handling charge for this item is quite ridiculous $8.79.....it would fit in a small padded envelope and I am in Qld...they are in NSW. As you say, I could have purchased this overseas for much less and I would have received it by now!
