    Another UTE cage thread

I have been asked recently abou tmy ute cages and if I could provide photos to others so tha they can also have the cages made up. So here it goes

The cages are removable and they sit on a purpose made draw. This is to avoid the wheel archers and also provides storage for your gear.

Nice well built cages Vendo. Now all you need is decent dogs to put in them.

    Getting there LOL

The Draw is fitted to the UTE and the cages are removable there is a lip at the back of the cages that slides into a slot this hold the back and at the front there are two bolts that holf the cages down. The floor they sit on is marine ply and the carpet is marine carpet so the whole lot can be hosed out for when you take the kids out to the beach. takes 2 to 5 min to take cages out.

I have a duel battery system set up in th ute with an isolator. I used this to have two power sockets at the back for fridges or inverter.

Recently I fitted a cooling system in the ute as even with all my vents the back is a bit hot for the dog if I am stationary for too long in the sun.

I have switches in the cab the fans are 10in radiator booster fans from super cheep the electrical work is from Battery world. Even with the fans on the cages I can still disconect the system and take them out.

Two fans running at 7.5 amp each draw per hr equates to at least 5 Hrs of usage out of a decent deep cycle battery.

Rough Price on the whole system $3500 for the cages they are aluminium and powder coated. The electric system and vent system cost about $1200

Prices are on my last post Michael. With the electrical system it may vary but you would look at between $1100 and $1400 depending on you vehicle the booster fans are an additional $80 each

The system was wiped up by Battery world at slacks creek Phone: Ask for Gary (07) 3423 3747

Sorry vendo I don't mean to show you up but I just thought I would show my setup!

Here are 2 photos of my containment system. Easily removed and setup. Ventilation is supplied by Gods own natural system. When cooling is required I just drive faster. To avoid theft of my dogs, I just don't own dogs worth stealing.
