oooh yeah I know too much prey drive and it's a hindrance in some dogs. Too much of a good thing CAN be a bigger PITA then not enough sometimes. I just trained a border collie for basic scent that was so obsessed over her toys she couldnt concentrate on anything except molesting you for the toy, or overdoing her reactions because she wasnt fully concentrating, just toy NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW. We first tried separate prey item for finding the scent but she wouldnt actually scent, she started targetting instead so we had to switch to target scent inside a prey item, show the dog our empty hands and work from there. I tell you it was a bigger job teaching that dog to try and calm down and concentrate then it was to get her to find the scent hidden in my kitchen LOL
