??? Peter, I see no uproar.
Just different responses to Jess' inquiry. Yours is as valid as the others.
l just like dealing local , and enjoy a chat with Kurt as well, so recommended him.
Do not think anyone seemed upset by your input

Hi Peter, just so you and other people reading know you can email Kurt from dogquip and he can send out a price list for his equipment, he is also able to send you pictures and make custom gear.
I dont think anyone was ticked off with your post in recommending Karenswood.
I have never treated my dogquip leads with any product and they have stood the test of time.

Hi Jeff

I used Karenswood many years ago because the equipment supplied to me when in the job: lead, harness, line etc was less than what you’d call quality kit, especially the harness. Unfortunately after spending quite a bit on one of their harnesses, a colleague’s young dog in the van cage next door (my harness & line was hanging from the cage) decided to chew it in half after manoeuvring one of the straps through the cage! I’ll contact Kurt and ask for his price list. It is handy to deal locally if the gear is good.

Same as Nathan......I get our local saddler to make our leads/harnesses etc.....(he uses a superb, super soft & high quality bridle leather)....and that way you can also custom the length....whether you want a ring at the other end.......brass fittings etc!
Also the craftmanship is second to none.....and best of all: the price: VERY REASONABLE!
Thanks again everyone for all your suggestions.
I just ordered one from Kurt, with his prices and quality i couldn't' say no.
I'll let you all know what its like when it gets here.
That's such a shame Peter, and with the price you paid for one.
Now caring for leather...... What sort of stuff do you do with your leather leads??
We've never done anything in the past, but i thought i probably should with this, to help it last.
Cheers, Jess
