    Hi Everyone

Just a quick intro as im not very good at these things.

My names Jess, i am owned by one 10 M/O male dobie, called kaiser, that i rescued last year.
i live in 'the sticks' of Victoria with 1 cat, who thinks he's a dog, my dobie and a 3 Y/O female mastiff,Chevy.
my family have owned working dobermanns since the early 80's and before that they owned GSDs.
i am interested in starting Sch, and am currently looking around working line dobie breeders to find the one that matches my needs.
i look forward to getting to know everyone here.

    Jess
    Cheers, Jess

    Hi Jess

Good luck in finding the Dobe you want.

I'm considering SchH now for mt next dog after watching the comp in Sydney, or at least a SchH legible breed so I can train with a club.

    Re: Hi Everyone

thanks guys, everyones so friendly here, its great!!
i'll keep everyone posted with my search.
and add any questions i have.
i currently have three breeders im looking at and having alot of trouble figuring out which one is best for me. im not sure whether its ok to post there names or not to get peoples opinions.
One i noticed is a member here, and the other two are GSDs and Dobie breeders.
all of which seem really good. im looking for a really friendly breeder too as i may need some help. so far two of the three ore really friendly and willing to help me out.

Does any ones else seek this out as a quality in a breeder??

thanks again guys for your warm greetings.

    Jess

ETA - Thanks for that Tony. greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, Jess

    Re: Hi Everyone

Jess as a new breeder myself i must say that it's hard to find willing people to help these days.. when i was getting started If i didnt know what i was looking for as i was half in no knowledge compared to today and the other didnt know breeders reputability.. i think it's important to ask around and get a feel.. everyone has biased opinions BUT also experienced ones too. If you are happy with someone and they are doing all they can to get you the puppy you require then by all means stick with them.
I know when i have people interested in my pups i like to get background information... i like to see that they are keen and interested AND trying to find out as much as they can.. asking questions.. visiting and seeing the dogs and puppies.. or at least trying to. that i can build up a great trust and bond. if this is how you feel then good luck and stick with those breeders.

they are hard to come by i can tell you that much!

    Re: Hi Everyone

thank you so much for your help.as to the dobe breeder, i have decided who that is,they are willing to help me,and dont care whether i get a pup fromthem or not as long as i get what i want, ive spokento them numerous times, mainly on the phone (which i've some breeders will not do)
but as to a shep breeder, i dont know,im still trying to decide whether to get one, im going to have to go down to a SchH club and watch them in action.
is there somewhere that you train i'd be very interested in seeing your pups in action, they sound very impresive.

    thanks again for your help.
