    raising puppys for work

i was just thinking this fine mourning at work (a lot of time to think here)
making up a puppy plan for when i find my puppy suspect next year (the year has gone to fast cripe)
it will be the first puppy for me iv always owned older dogs 12m or older

so i thought id see what other people like to do or have set up for when they start a new puppy of

    8w to 3m

    and

    3m to 6m
    Regards

    8 - 12 wks old
Pups go everywhere with us car, school, beach, shows vet etc
Pup's meet other dogs, and sleep crated in the main part of the house.Pups are taught basic manners they free run supervised and only for short bursts can they go with another dog supervised once again.Toys/tugs are introduced and prey games from day one of pup's arrival. If I have a pup from another breeder it will be introduced to a lead and collar from the moment I pick it up.Other wise I personally start 5 week olds on collar/lead.

    3 - 6 months old.

Pup has a night or so out in a crate with one of the other dogs in a run, pup is walked around to a multitude of places.More obedience starts and formal training begins.

    3 meals per day.

    plus goat milk.

With young puppies it is imperative to be cautious of teeth with toys and bones etc.

Just bumping this thread. Surely I am not the only person who has raised puppies.

    Cheers

Lots of socialisation and leave it alone till it is around 10-12 months."Less is more"
