Im interested to know where you would buy your next gsd from and why? Even if your a mali or dutchy guy where would you go for a gsd and what studs or dams stand out or what breeder do you like?

    Thanks

If I were to get a GSD or Dobey most defiantly from von forell

Why: Mr kris k knows his stuff about GSD as in absolutely everything, you need to figure out what you want in a GSD before you go ahead and get one and see if it marrys up to what the breeders have achieved,

I wouldn’t recommend his dogs if you wanna show them but they got great working stock in addition have a look at pretty much EVERY working breeding programs there will be some dog in the with von forell kennel name……….

    Just my opinion

If I was to get another (highly possible, my girl has really made me fall in love with the breed, but would still love another dobe) I'd either get another from her breeder (Monsimbee) or from the person who recommended her breeder to me (Raennik) or possibly breed her (but probably not). I don't know much about gsd genetics, but I do like the lines both these breeders are using, as I've met a few that are very closely related to my girl. And love them! But I can only comment on the few the I've met and my very minimal experience with the breed.
She's a great family dog, open, social(but very aloof to everyone), full of drive and is coming along well in her training, and is an absolute bitch and full of attitude! Which we just love!
    Cheers, Jess

Hi Jess, I was competing at an agility trial at Spring Fair where there was also a GSD specialty show on the same grounds, and I was walking around and saw this lady with a working line GSD (quite unusual at a show!). It was a bi-colour like my fella so I stopped to talk to her, and I think it was the breeder of your dog! She told me the prefix but atm with a baby my memory is pretty bad lol but when I looked it up from your post I remembered that was what it was! Will keep that in mind if I ever decide to wade into GSD again.

I agree with von forell. I have a gsd from kris and wat a dog he has it all. I was in the right place at the right time. Friends of mine also own von forell dogs and both r intensely driven! Also kris is always willing and able to answer any question I can throw at him. His lines are on everything good working pedigree just about. That in itself says a lot! I have not had much at all to do with other breeders but if you look at pedigrees and wat is known as solid dogs why not just start at the top! But also would not mind looking at some von zane dogs they look very promising!

If that was my breeder then the dog was probably Lexis mum (her name is Izzy). She has a few show lines and often takes her working lines to the shows. I highly recommend her if you want a gsd!!

I would import. Same with a dobermann, I have my eye on one in Serbia if I can scrape up the money in the near future.
