    Question DVD/Book advice

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any books or dvd's on training methods that they'd like too recommend. I've already tried the reviews section of the site but unfortunately there is only one post so I figured I'd ask directly. I'm looking for anything that would help, from raising a puppy to bad habit breaking to obedience and anything else you may think I (or anyone else interested) may be able to use.
If the thread turns into a general review that would be great - you never know what someone else may have seen that you might want to learn more about.

My books are breed focused firstly, but for general dog behaviour my fave is, The dogs mind written by Dr Bruce Fogle.

I have heard the best reviews about The handbook of Applied dog behaviour and training written by Stevan Lindsay however i don't own the volumes yet.

I enjoyed the Koeler method and posted in the review section already.

Schutzhund theory and training by Steward Hilliard and Susan Barwig, another favourite although i have general interest in protective drives of dogs not specifically sport focused.

For food purposes i like Raw meaty Bones written by Dr Tom Lonsdale. Although i have always been a dry feeder as well.

A book i want to get my hands on is, Der Schutzhund. The training of working dogs in protection, by Helmut Raiser. If any kind soul on here wants to give me their's to borrow, let me know.

Great! Thanks for that I looked for Der Shutzhund after I read your post - found it here unfortunately I didn't find it in any of the australian suppliers I looked at but at that price it's fairly affordable anyway

    Hi Peter

I can recommend a very good Australian trainer who has a DVD out.

    Craig A. Murray
Picking a Puppy and Relationship Raising

You can find it on his web site Dog School: Home
he also has a Puppy education Handbook on cd.

Then you can look at Ivan Balabanov 1,2

and i will leave some for others to contribute so that they don't say that I steel the lime light. LOL

    For Agility:

Success With One Jump by Susan Garrett

Great foundation work DVD which covers exercises you can do with one or no jumps. Good for teaching the dog to send ahead, get obstacle focus, and teach the dog to follow your handling and body.
