Well Done!
On Sunday Dobermann Club of NSW has held its annual Championship Show and Working Aptitude Evaluation. On Monday there was an open show and obedience trial (I didn't participate).
I have entered my brown girl in the working test and passed!
She is now officially known as Australian Champion Fireax Twice The Fun ET WAC.
(ET being the endurance test, WAC being the Working Aptitude Certificate)
There are 4 passes out of 14 dogs, probably the highest % in the recent years.
Dragan Tomas judged the test, Dragan, so far, is the only person in Australia that had an Australian Show Champion bitch with a Sch title.
Needless to say Im totally stoked!!!!
What that also means is that if I now go and gain a Companion Dog obedience title with Divani she will qualify for the Register Of Merit award. The requirements are - Show championship, obedience title and the WAC. The idea of it is to show that there are dogs out there that can look good, be trainable and have the basics of a working temperament. From memory, in the history of dobermanns in Australia, there would be aprox 30 dogs all up with that award.
So here I am, dragging my 5 year old desexed couch potato out of retirement and going training again...............she doesn't know it yet, and I bet wont be to happy to find out LOLOL she would rather hunt bunnies, catch flies and bark at anyone that dares to walk on our street)), or best, sleep and eat
)))
If anyone wants to know whats involved in the WAE Ill be happy to provide links to the explanation.
And to top the day I also won Best Baby Puppy in Show with her daughter, 17 weeks old, beating much older and far better trained puppies (handled by a super handler, that is Divanis breeder)
Well Done!

Congratulations, Monika,
well done.
One of my pups also took out best puppy in show,
at the rottie specialty show, in Perth a couple of weeks a go, not bad for a working dog.
