has anyone else heard about these dogs, used by the Russian Military and Police, it pretty much looks the old type/traditional type German Shepherd whose back hasn't been messed up by show people wanting a dog that looks like its always taking a crap.
Apparently derived from GSDs, but had some outcrosses with Russian guard and sheepdogs in their early creation, thus have a larger bone structure

will need google translate for the last one
I still prefer the real GSD, but these look like a back up plan when the real ones become even harder to find

You'd be surprised nearly every showline kennel in Aus which has it's German Import "Champions
claim that their dogs hold Sch titles.....
I doubt many kennels would be falsely claiming there dogs hold Schutzhund titles. There dogs would hold Schutzhund titles but due to the numerous amount of clubs conducting Schutzhund training in Europe some clubs trials are more credible and held to a higher standard than others. I have seen imported Schutzhund III dogs and have wondered how they passed their BH let alone SCH III.
Sanji's Brother (01-11-2011)
Hey Jeff were they from SHow kennels or Working kennels? I remember watching a Leerburg video and Ed saying how those showlines only got their Sch III was by training on the same field with the same Helper and once they went to a different field they would shit themselves.

Yes Jason they were show dogs. I have seen what you are describing first hand, it is disgraceful for these kennels to portray these dogs as dual champions in show and working disciplines.
