Yep, seen them working, decoyed them also.
He will breed them one day as well.
The history of the black Mali is like this. There was a Groen (solid black long coat Belgium Shepherd) called Andor who was a good KNPV dog. So a few people bred their Mali females to this dog and some of the pups got the black colour of the father with the short coat of the Mali, hence the name Black Mali. So this has now gone on and their is a good number of black Malis in the KNPV. They are generally the equal of the Dutchie and Mali. So you can breed a Mali to a Black Mali and half will come out black the others fawn. Same if you breed a Black Mali to a Dutchie.
She is a nice female for sure. Her name is Ninja, and her father is actually a Dutchie.
Hope it helps.
Well I have always had Rotties in the past but after losing my old boy, who was a one in a million dog, I just couldnt bring myself to replace him. He was from show lines believe it or not but I would challenge any of the working dogs to be harder than him. Obviously I cant do that now tho
So after a couple of years of having no dogs it was time to get another dog. I had always loved the APBT and with all the b*******t laws involved with them I decided to get into the American Staffordshire Terrier. These guys have wonderful drive but tend to be a little human friendly for a good working or protection dog. I am doing quite well in OB with my boy who has just started trialling and one of my bitches, will make a great agility dog when I finally get back to training with her after her season LOL Also weightpull is on the cards when they get to an age they can do it. Have done a little tracking with them and they seem to have a hand for this aswell.
I had always wanted to get into SCH and cant really do it with the AmStaffs so decided to get myself a breed I could do it with. I just couldnt get another Rott after my old boy so I decided on the GSD. Cant say an awful lot yet as he is only 12 weeks old but I am more than happy with him so far. He seems to have oodles of courage, havnt found anything that has worried him yet. He seems to be more than happy to give anything a go and is very smart around the livestock.
I would have loved to get a Dutchee but after speaking to a couple of breeders, they didnt recommend them for a first time working dog. SO maybe in the future that will be an option![]()
Hello all, i am trying to decide whaich breed dog to buy from the sole reason of home and person protection. Previsouly i own a show rottweirl thinking it was a true Rotty, which turned out not to be the case, becasue of the fact i was broken into and the dog did not protect his own terrotier.
The breeds of dog i am look at the moment is either a GSD, or Doberman, I understand i require a wokring dog and have been in contact with Laurie a working rottweiler breeder -
so the question i have is can anyone refer me to the correct breeders for a full working doberman, gsd, or rottweiler.
i do not want any show blood in the pedigree at all.
cheers Rob
Hello robjjj
I read your post RE your Rottweiler not defending it's territory, can I ask you where she is now?
You know this breed still require training and a good handler to get the very best out of them don't you?.There are Bloodlines in which to choose from for particular needs, but ALL dogs need some training.
There are some very strong temperamented Rottweilers with show titles and some maybe not.
Working Bloodlines you will have the same, some will be full of spark and others will be couch potatos! There are variables in all litters. You say "no show blood" yet many Rottweilers with working pedigrees are actually dual titled, which means they are both work and show dog.Having an active Rottweiler can be a big challenge to own if you really don't do your research on the Breed and where possible the lines.
