I have to second that Vendo. I believe that there is a big difference between testing and training.
I was asked a few times over the past week as to the training of this pup. So let me say this – in all sense or the meaning there was not any training. A lot of socialization and Artur used boundaries on the pup from a young age to teach him manners or no means no. (Want for a better phrase).
I have video of him as a pup; I took off YouTube, as a lot of people wrote in and complained. I will gladly put it back on for a while so you can see his bite and determination at a young age.
First bite session was recorded on a video posted earlier, second session was on a sleeve again daylight hrs this time. On the suit I think we may have it recorded, but he bit like a crock, and those jumbo suits of ours are not light. The weekend when this vid was taken was the second time this pup was on a suit.
Vendo.
------ TALK IS CHEAP.... SHOW US YOUR DOG.
I have to second that Vendo. I believe that there is a big difference between testing and training.
When I think training I think bite development situational training confidence building etc. I think what artur and vendo are saying is that his bite, drives, suspicion and confidence have not been conditioned he is a raw pup and what you see is genetics. As far as his out etc of course this is trainedwhy would you want a dog that gentically wants to out all the time
I consider any time the dog is learning as training.
Teaching manners = training.
Any time the dog is doing bite work (including testing) to me = training.
Even if the dog learns something without your guidance I consider it training if you are involved.
Nice dog though![]()
Again arthur doen't deny training manner etc so lets rephrase his comment.
At the time of this video the dog has had no confidence building, bite development or conditioning to confront a threat.
Me and arthur have disagreed about raising pups as I do alot of bite development etc with my pupsand he does very little other than teach manners. So what this tells me is the bite and confidence we see here is genetic and not conditioned.
We took some more vid of the pup. I will post it soon keep everyone updated on his progress.
check out his jump in slow motion
