    When is enough....enough?

Interesting topic people love to complain about is a dog/bitch not being "enough"...

We can put it down to numerous contributing factors, genetics, drives, handlers, training etc but when do you say ok this dog is not cutting it?

Whether it be work or sport....

Me personally, I would give a dog almost a year with potential, but some dogs you can know after a few days....

    Hi
My personal theory is: I give a pup 16 weeks to show me the makings of a good working dog. I have to see a little bit of everything I want in order to pursue with that particular dog..
An adult dog I generally give 1-2 months. Time to bond and understand each other and then assess whether or not its the dog for me..

    regards

Must have something to do with christmas Amy.. Not many posting.

I wouldn't give a pup a year to see if it's suitable.. I believe wholeheartedly that you can tell if a puppy has the genetics for it by around 16 weeks.. If it's not there..its just not there.
