Remove Hugh Wirth from RSPCA Petition

Anyone think we should set up a petition to have Dr Hugh Wirth removed from the RSPCA, and have it sent to the RSPCA.

I personally feel this guy has totally lost the plot and is destroying dog ownership in Australia. He is a powerful mouth to Governments, the media and his suporters. The nonfactual and unsubstantiated claims he makes are swaying governments away from enforcing responsible dog ownership laws, to instead "blame it only on the breed". Will your breed be next?

We need to take action against this man, who in my opnion, is becoming a tyrant, that is not upholding the RSPCA's philosophy of "All creatures great and small"

Next he will be asking that a certain make of car should be wiped out, because they are causing more injuries to people than other makes..... Isn't it about ensuring responsible driving?

Let's fight to protect our dogs rights and our rights as responsible dog owners...

I would definitely sign such a petition and be happy to spread it around as well!

Its sad that even within our own community here on this forum, there are those who believe that BSL is not real and that its a joke and that certain breeds deserve to be banned or PTS or restricted

I totally agree oonga. Those that are closing their eyes to this, or believing it is right to wipe out a particular breed, due to false and missleading information, will oneday regret they let it start from here.... ALL breeds will eventually be up for consideration.

    I would sign.

I didn't know we had those who didn't take BSL serious here. I guess they are everywhere. How many apparently ethical breeders have info about BSL readily available on their sites....

I agree..Hugh Wirth is only a self serving idiot. Has no knowledge on breeds, dog instincts and drives. No practical knowledge on training and training methods. He loves to stir up emotional debate by trying to create hystria from half truths and fantasy talk. He was shot down in flames a few years ago by the court case with Innotek. The outcome was that he could not find one expert to back up his outrageous claims about e-collars. Pity we don't have a company here willing to take him to court over the pinch collar. He'd lose that one too.

He is a very dangerous man when it comes to our dog breeds. He enjoys the limelight...and that is VERY dangerous!
