Just for future reference,and I mean well here contact the breeder you are interested in and find out for yourself what they are about.Otherwise you can get a whole lot of their friends.....or even enemies telling you either way and persuading you one direction.Then you could miss out on a puppy of a lifetime!!

No offence taken Amy, I appreciate your input ... In this instance, I have spoken to this particular breeder and all seems pretty good to me. I think forums are good for getting different opinions or views from those who may have actual experience.

Having said that you're quite correct, the source of the feedback could be biased either way - I guess it's up to me to make that judgement call...

After owning a dog before believing it was a working-protection dog from what the breeder told me, we have now done a lot of research for our next dog and decided which breed and breeder to go for: a Von Liston Doberman. I was mislead into believing all dogs will protect you when i bought my first dog (i will not advertise the breeder so please dont ask), which i found to be totally incorrect. After speaking to many trainers and working dog people, and breeders i have found that the correct choice of dog for me and my family for our requirments will be from von liston kennels. i have met them and believe them to be genuine as they have explained to me the bloodlines and they're breeding program, they never got sick of answering my calls and always allowed us to ask questions anytime. We have now passsed the screening process and have been accepted to own a pup from them. We are over the moon and cant wait, we will also be looking to trial our new dog.

We love the fact that they told me, "that just because their is a litter is on the ground it doesn’t mean it will automatically be mine as there are test involved to assess and see if the pup is suited for us." If I asked about a breeder and the news wasn't good, I'd hope people here would IM me with the negitive.

But if the breeder was a good one I would like everyone to hear it, and that is great to put on the forum.
