    Agility

(ADMIN - This thread was moved form another forum to here.)

Yes Kavik go and start a thread please on agility
I think all dog sports are interesting and its great to hear of different methods used.
I won't have anything to contribute as i have never done agility, other than the normal agility run by obedience clubs as part of socialisation etc LOL
you know like the Aframe and the puppy tunnel, the tyre and the walk thingy??
BUT I would love to read more about it from people who are working their dogs in this sport!!

Same as Flyball i have watched flyball once and thought it was amazing the way the dogs performed so well and focussed on the task at hand, when so much yelling and carrying on was happening around them and all the other dogs were running etc.... incredible!!!

Plus we can't all do everything with our dogs, so by reading of things other people do its like a way of gaining understanding about them

    Re: Fake pedigrees in Malinois

    Hi Kevik

Yes please do start another topick on the different methods of trainning.

We all can only benifit from it, as the old saying goes there is more then one way to skin a cat and diferent dogs respond to diferent trainning methods.

I for one would love to hear any one talking about trainning methods rather then any other tipoc (like pedigrees hahahaha)

I look forward to your post

    Thank you

    Hi Kavik,

Agility is a great sport for dogs and I'd like to hear more about it.

They have just started it here and we have some great dogs.

Would love to hear about training methods and how you and your dog do in trials. I was going to do it as an extra with my dog until she got to heavy. Though we do it as fun.

Have you tried doing the new left heal, where the dog goes backwards to stay on the left rather than go around you? Am interested in how it is done. It is the new way and will be the only way one day.

    So please start a thread.

Are you with the AADA? I am told they are taking over and making it a better sport.

    regards Ena

I am now a member of all 3 agility organisations lol.

    ADAC, ADAA and ANKC.

I am not doing any heeling with Kaos, but have taught Diesel the flip/military finish where they flip around you on the left to get to heel position instead of going around you.

At the moment we are only entering Jumping (which still has plenty of challenges!) until I train my contact behaviours.
